Welcome to the Nevada State Rainbow website. The International Order of Rainbow for Girls is a non-profit organization for girls ages 11 to 20. It teaches girls leadership skills and the importance of service to the community. Rainbow also teaches respect for others and for our country. The girls are able to build lasting friendships while also learning that they can achieve and excel in whatever they choose to do. Some former Rainbow Girls you might recognize are former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, comedians Ruth Buzzi, Lily Tomlin, actress Lee Meriweather, and former Miss America Jane Jayroe and Shawntel Smith.
There are 11 assemblies located throughout the Silver State of Nevada. From the Biggest Little City in the World to the bright lights of Las Vegas, Nevada Rainbow Girls devote themselves to a life of service. They donate their time & energy to many worthwhile organizations such as the Shriner's Children Hospital, Candlelighters, Multiple Sclerosis Society, American Heart Association, Ronald McDonald House, and Angel Tree. This year's state-wide service project is the Alzheimer’s Association.
In addition to their service and fund-raising activities, the girls also have regular meetings and enjoy being able to plan "fun" activities such as ice cream socials, slumber parties, ice skating, picnics, trips to theme parks, pool parties, and traveling throughout the state to visit our sister assemblies.
